Peer Services Implementation (PSI): A Taster

What do we mean by “integration” when discussing peer services at behavioral health clinics? In this FREE 90-min session, participants will learn about the 5 domains of Peer Services Implementation and reflect on typical challenges related to integration of peer services at behavioral health agencies, using concepts of isolation, integration, and co-optation. This session is geared toward anyone working in behavioral health care who is interested in learning more about the role of peer support and provides a sample of the 2-day workshop: Demystifying the Peer Workforce.
Purpose and Audience
This workshop is designed for participants that work in a variety of roles within their organizations. It will benefit individual participants as they explore the application of the practice, rather than prepare them for full organizational implementation. This session is not a prerequisite for other PCRP workshops but is complementary to all other PCRP offerings and provides a sampling of our 2-day workshop.

- Describe the fundamental principles of Person Centered Recovery Planning.
- Apply person centered principles to a real life scenario or challenge.
- Identify at least 1 action to take following this training that furthers person-centered practices at their organization.
