Best Practices in Peer Support – Disability Rights Texas and the PAIMI Advisory Council

This month we will be joined by Aaryce Hayes, Policy Specialist at Disability Rights Texas and John King, Peer Support Integration Coordinator at Via Hope and member of the Texas PAIMI Advisory Council. During this session we will learn about the important work of Disability Rights Texas, which includes the facilitation of the Texas PAIMI Advisory Council. PAIMI stands for Protection and Advocacy for Individuals with Mental Illness. Each state is mandated by the Federal PAIMI Act to have an advisory council that assists states to establish a protection and advocacy system for individuals with lived experience with mental health challenges.
1.5 CEUs will be available for CPSs and CFPs following completion of a brief quiz after the webinar.
