Ethical Considerations for Peer Specialists (CTI)

Ethical Considerations for Peer Specialists provides opportunity for peer specialists to deepen their understanding of ethical decision-making through the use of scenarios, discussion, and guidance from experienced peer specialist trainers. This training satisfies the Ethics requirement for recertification of Texas peer specialists (MHPS & RSPS). 

At the end of this training, participants should be able to:

• Identify different areas of consideration when making ethical decisions
• Apply the Texas Peer Specialist Code of Ethics to different ethical situations
• Recognize a course of action for receiving support when an ethical situation does arise

Via Hope training content is provided via Zoom through an online learning platform. Participants will be required to have an active internet connection and be on camera for the majority of the training. Individual computer access is required; participants will not be able to log on in a group environment.

The Mental Health Resource of Texas dba Via Hope does not allow the use of AI (artificial intelligence) software to record Zoom, Microsoft Teams or any other virtual meeting platforms hosted by employees of the organization. Additionally, AI is strictly prohibited during any Via Hope facilitated training.
