Steering Committee Charge:

One of the goals of the President’s New Freedom Commission was to make the mental health system "consumer and family driven." This goal is reflected in Texas’ Mental Health Transformation process. The Via Hope Texas Mental Health Resource was created to function as a training and technical assistance center for consumers, family members, youth consumers, and professionals to further this transformation effort. The charge of the steering committee is to:

• Assist in determining the scope/needs of Via Hope related to training, technical assistance, peer credentialing, and consumer, youth, family networking, and
• Determine the needs of Via Hope related to an advisory committee in the future
