I live in Cedar Park located in Williamson County in Central Texas, the fastest growing county in the U.S. We are largely rural with the mainstays of Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Taylor, Hutto. I spend the majority of my time in service to my communities that I belong to. As a Consumer Representative to via HOPE, Texas Mental Health Resource Network Advisory Group, it is my goal to bear in mind our constituencies needs now and in the future. Of note, I believe that we must work to bring our state’s territory into one cohesive geography via a telecommunications infrastructure through any current and new technology available. I support education, training, resources, networking and integration for a greater statewide consumer survivor gathering. I am studying Public Health Community Education & Promotion for my doctoral work and plan to focus on American peer to peer programmatic services and especially to develop energizing, innovative services in Texas. At the same time, I participate in the American College of Mental Health Association working with Mentor Wilma Townsend, SAMHSA/CMHS to continue to learn, work and make a difference.
